Searching Shun’s Tracks on Li Mountain / Sheng Hong

Far ancient is deep as the gorge,
And  the puzzled like fog is tracks of Shun;
Vague eyes of mine can tell colors,
Can they peep the secret of heaven?
上古如峡深,舜迹似雾迷;
拙眼识颜色,可否窥天机?

Note: English is not my mother language. As a practice, this poem is translated from my poem in Chinese: 历山寻迹。 I hope the experts who master both English and Chinese to offer me some suggestions.
